Below is a list of a few styles of sessions to help you get started. As the practice of massage can be far more extensive, I always enjoy catering to each individual with the wide variety of tools I have available.
Here are some ways in which we can direct our attention together:
General Full Body Massage - this style of massage allows a free flow focus of general full body therapeutic massage in which I allow my interpreted touch with the tissues and cells of your bodies needs. This is beneficial in deep relaxation, soreness, physical, emotion, or mental balancing.
Limited Motion and Muscle Strengthening - Together we discuss and review specific areas in the client is having difficulty or inability to perform movement in specific areas of the body. Focused work will be performed in the troubled muscles, tendons, and attachments, and antagonist muscles, with a combination of massage, working with range of motion techniques, and engaging the client to be a participant in the progress this issue.
Physical testing and text books may be used to help identify the possible issue. For those interested in empowering themselves, we can take the time to learn, discuss, and study the muscles, their individual purpose, and practices to take home.
Neuromuscular Massage - In this focused massage, a combination of hands on relaxation, energy focus, and engaging the client in actively working the muscle, together we will work on the deep muscle connection to the nerves. Retraining and strengthening the muscle to help rewire and relax the body from injury or trauma.
Connective Tissue Massage - Subtle focus in the bodies brilliant connective tissue network, this slow engaging massage session can have specific or general focus. This session focuses on the relaxation of the connective tissue that interconnects all organs and tissues within the body and can have a wide range of deep effects.
Energy Work - As this can find meaning in a wide range of diverse concepts, fundamentally all massage can be considered energy work. For me this style will be addressing the physical, mental, and spiritual concerns of the client. With a focus of connecting intuition in a steady exchange of intention in assisting the balancing of an individual overall well being.
Shiatsu - This is a traditional styled massage brought to us from Japanese techniques, focused on Tsubo Points in the meridians of Traditional Chinese Theory. In place of using acupuncture needles, this massage session uses hand and finger pressure on the body that can be balancing on a holistic nature, as well as focused physical areas of the body.
